"It's not just for Rednecks"

Films: The Body Beneath (1970)

Alias: The Ford Family

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: No one said that vampires had to all have the fanciest and most respectable of reputations to the public. These guys would make Dracula's ASHES roll in the grave if he knew about them.

History: Reverend Alexander Ford and his family are vampires. That much is certain. But things haven’t been going so well for them. Ford’s family has a history of inbreeding in a desperate attempt to continue his dwindling bloodline. A prime example of his failure is his three feral vampire daughters. But biting another could help solve it all...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: In the end, Ford and his family decide that they would be better suited to live in California rather than Europe, and that's where they head, leaving their potential victims, now vampires, to inherit the old home.

Powers/Abilities: Typical biting, infecting, and eternal living.

Weakness: Typical vampire weaknesses.

Scariness Factor: 3-Ford's just a hammy patriarch with problems he probably started himself. His daughters are unsettling, and look more like living corpses rather than vampires.

Trivia: -This film was directed by Andy Milligan, who also did "Blood Rites" and "Guru the Mad Monk". He's often considered to be one of horror's least favorite directors. Even Stephen King didn't like him.

-This film was allegedly shot in two-three days.
